Although you posted your question to Greg, I'd like to toss out my 2¢ worth.

It appears the merger will be approved without any stipulations that could hurt the merged companies. If this turns out to be the case, JDSU will be a powerful FO player with an industry leading selection of product offerings. FO will continue to grow rapidly even if there is a recession, albeit that growth will be slower than a growing economy.

If you want exposure in FO, you want to have some exposure to a market leader. JDSU is going to be a leader in FO, IMVHO.

JDSU seems to be going thru what QCOM has recently gone thru. I think JDSU will need to do some base building, but in here JDSU looks very oversold to me...... & I'm trying to add to my position AH today.
