Dear CF,
*In my analysis I found the only one who didn't have a hidden agenda (hidden from me, anyhow) was ME.*
Sometimes, what we think we are is a but a belief to be undone.
The "self" that needs protection is not real. Hidden agendas exist for just such protection, and being hidden we do not know that they are hidden.
Try this:
Every response we make is determined by what we think we are, and what we want to be is what we think we are. What we want to be, then, must determine every response we make.
Such is the strategy of the hidden agenda that we think is not there. We all seek things, qualities in particular, that will make our value greater in our own sight. However, these things can limit us further, hide our own worth from ourselves, and add another lock to the door that leads to the true encounter with our Self.
A concept of self can be like a shield, a barricade before truth. We are left with images, most of them private and dear to us....but they work against the natural desire for clarity.
It would seem as though our concept of the world is but dependent on our concept of self. Both would go if either one were ever raised to doubt.
In this sense, we would all benefit and grow from doubt, even one as beautiful as you. |
