Thanks for the response to the libel issue. Everything you say in there makes sense to me, and you are probably right on the legality.

Do you still think it is appropriate for Jackson to make such claims?

Do you think it helps society as a whole or Jackson's constituency?

I have stated a couple of times that I feel the biggest hurdle our country faces is the deplorable situation that many blacks are in (primarily in the ghettos). I have actually been pondering a career change (or embellishment) that could help the black community.

If Jackson is going to call me or the president I support a racist (using nazi tactics to supress the black vote qualifies as calling GWB a racist imo) and insist on his us against them mentality, I will loose interest in that goal in a hurry. I hope that most blacks do not share his views, but when I hear that 93% of them vote for Gore, I fear that many do.

What do you think can be done to improve this situation in America?
