Good points. Conversely, I've read that Bush lost Pennsylvania because he didn't carry the Philadelphia suburbs like Reagan did. I think there will be plenty of second guessing of this election in the future. I think both Dems and Repubs can agree that Gore ran a terrible campaign.

On another note, I think we've seen the last of Gore. After trying to sue his way into the White House, and losing, he really has nothing to concede. The Dems stuck with Gore way too long. Might have hurt their chances in 2002.

By the way, one of the mistakes the Dems made was not spending more campaign time and money in Ohio. Several analysts said after the election that Ohio was indeed winnable for Gore had he put a little more money and time into the state
