Prisoner's dilemma - do you wait for your competitor to start a rumor based on facts gleaned from DD or do you do it to him first?

Ah yes... the prisoner's dilemna... never seen it applied to business quite in the manner you describe but I can see the merit.

Exchanging debt for equity may be the only way out.... It certainly would help in making lenders owners of the problem, with every vested interest not to through the baby out with the bathwater.

Everyone knows the financial system is a confidence game... Lose confidence and you lose the game.

Keep us up to date... I'm waiting for signs of further weakness in Asia, particularly Japan.

And btw, with regard to Indonesia, we have only to look at the Clinton administration's continued close relationship with the Riady family to see the presence of Chinese subversion in that nation.
