misinterpreted your post and you meant to ascribe to Bush (not to Joe) a "to hell with who really won" ideology.

Tim,

It was directed at Bush for pursuing such a strategy, and at Joe for rationalizing it.

At risk is legitimacy that can only come by counting/examining all the votes, including any that may have been rejected for technical reasons (responding to an earlier reply by Petzinger to one of my posts). I am afraid that all of our officials, elected and appointed, have failed us.
