To all:
I was looking at the recent PCs Compleat catalog (a compusa co.). There are ads for JTS harddrives on at least 3 pages. There is one large 1/4 page ad with JTS Corporation in large bold letters. The copy reads:
"the JTS family of 3.5" hard drives provides mainstream storage for desktop applications. The rugged and reliable Champ and Palladium drives with their low-profile and 3.5" form factor satisfy a broad spectrum of demanding data storage applications."

Isn't the Champion line the newer drives? I wonder why they aren't advertised. I bet PC compleat's margin is huge on these drives.

The 1GB goes for $179.97 and the 2GB goes for $219.97. Maxtor sells a 2.1GB drive for 219.95 after rebate. Who in their right mind would by JTS over Maxtor?
