Some people have suggested that instead of school vouchers, we should have housing vouchers so poor people can move into better neighborhoods.

We now have "Habitat for humanity" which is a wonderful way to help a family in need, without giving them everything they need, and expecting nothing in return.

When you were younger, the projects were clean..after a fashion, and safe. It didn't take long for all of the drug users and dealers to realize they had a haven. The original people who lived in the projects, wouldn't go back and live in them now.

Colin Powell was raised in Harlem. Do you think he would raise his children there? We rose above our beginnings, and everyone has the same opportunity we had. No excuses.
