I used (thirty years ago) to live and work in Sandy Spring, Md., and went to college in Annapolis, and interned for a month in DC, so I know something of the way DC was thirty years ago. Even then you could spend a week on the mall, and I gather it's added a lot since then. I told them just to go to the mall and have fun. Hard not to there. I envy them, but they'll be too tied up in visiting and talking to worry about seeing all that much. Oh well. Once the kids are out of college and on their own it's Mom and Dad's turn for fun!
