The new system looks worse and worse for scalpers. The idea that big orders get executed before small ones even if the small ones got there first (assuming they're not talking about odd lots) seems so unfair I wonder if it's not just put on the table as a way of negotiating.

I'm curious to know what others think about the idea of greater transparency in the market. My thought is that obfuscation is good for traders, second in importance only to volatility. Traders need inefficiency, and transparency does not work to accomplish this.
