The FL SC asked Gores Lawyers if they wanted a statewide hand recount. They said no. This was a major blunder it turns out. Bush had no authority to grant this, never did...
Gore suggesting it early was a ploy at best.

Becausee of the various methods of voting it was impossible
to get a uniform standard anyway but at least they could have tried.
