Ok. I can do that math. $450/16 million shares = $28/share.

Now. Tell me how $450 million equates to $1.5 billion.

And please. Don't come up with some half baked argument using current stock prices. That has nothing to do with it.

Omnia's contribution to Ciena was not the bottom line but to the market cap. The acquisition added perceived value and future growth potential, and helped cause Ciena's stock to recover from the dark days. If you can't see that, perhaps you should change your handle. It may not fit.

You would also do well to learn how to spell, else others think you are ignorant.
