AMAT and the election results.

Somewhere in the next few days there should be a positive response to the finality of the election.

Tomorrow has to be discarded because options expire and anything can happen.

If the fed meeting is next Tuesday and if some kind words are spoken Wednesday could show some decent movement in AMAT and NVLS.

NVLS seems to be getting a number of positive comments. More so than LRCX or AMAT at the moment.

I looked back at the AMAT closing prices (under SI) and determined that about every 35 days AMAT will jump five points, for a day or two and then retreat. My point being is that if one were to buy AMAT today wait another 20 to 25 days and wait for a five point gain then write some options against the next highest strike, there is a very good chance of not being called out.

According to Fosbeck (Stock Market Logic) stocks are most likely to rally between Christmas and New Years. This is historical data over 30 plus years. I feel that if don't see a rally by the end of the month, the January rally may not show up.

** OT Sunshine Law ** I have no idea how Florida treats ballots. A good case could be made for burning them, and another good case for some History PHD candidate about a year from now going to Florida and taking a closer look at why the system failed, to give us an accurate report within a few hours of the election ending.

Bush also gave an excellent speech. I was impressed.

Good Luck on whatever strategy you figure out for AMAT.
