donjuan, That is right. They were so embarassed by the decision, they went to great lengths to say it should not apply to other equal protection cases. This was also pointed out in the New York Times article this morning. Constitutional law scholars will have great fun with this decision for years to come. It shows what happens when the court goes to political meddlin.
