As good as van Wagoner is, he may be spreading himself too thin (see this month's Smart Money) as his "company" consists of just three people (that includes a secretary). Also, it had been stated that he would close the micro-cap and emerging growth funds after reaching some target total assets, but these target were increased after a few months. In addition, he has filed to offer 3 new funds later this year, presumably under his management. There has been some good discussion of these and other mutuals in brill.com The PBHG people strike me as a lot more responsible. I actually have accounts with both families at the moment. Max
