CB...you've hit the nail on the head...We all live in harmony. It's not about race, it's about class, education, and the way kids are brought up. Of course, it's about class.....and that is so hard to define.
Throughout history, "class" tended to be defined as having something to do with money.....but in fact, it doesn't, at least in my opinion.
One can have all the money in the world, but if they don't have a positive, encompassing outlook toward all people, they can, and probably do, lack class. Throughout my life and career, I have interfaced with literally thousands of people. Some were "rich" and some were "poor" in currency, but the ones I have chosen to spend any time with are all rich in "class".
Mannerly, kind, law abiding, giving and sharing, humble, leaders, are a few words that come to mind.
Perhaps this is why, although the color of my skin is not black, I am much more comfortable having Martin Luther King as a leader, than I am having Jesse Jackson for anything, much less a leader. |
