OnProductions Signs with USA Video Interactive for StreamHQ Deployments
in India; Demonstrates Its Unique Portal with USA Video Interactive at
StreamingMediaWest Show
SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec 14, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- OnProductions, an Australian
portal design company, has contracted USA Video Interactive (OTCBB: USVO; CDNX:
US; www.usvo.com) to serve as its video technology provider for deployments in
India and Australia and will utilize USA Video Interactive's new suite of
next-generation Internet streaming services, StreamHQ(TM). OnProductions has
joined USA Video Interactive in its booth (#1528) at the StreamingMediaWest
conference in San Jose, California and is previewing its unique music and video
portal to demonstrate one potential front-end for USA Video Interactive's
StreamHQ(TM) services.
OnProductions primarily deals with the film, music and TV industry and has been
contracted by the Magik Group of India to develop broadband portals for tourism,
music and film in India in 2001. The tourism component is government sponsored
and will include an interactive guide placed at certain monuments, and
eventually into hotels, to provide rich media content to promote India as a
tourist destination with numerous attractions. This content can be continually
refreshed via Internet connections and can evolve with the growth in broadband
availability. The music and film portals are privately sponsored and will bring
these popular forms of entertainment to both urban and remote areas of India.
At the StreamingMediaWest conference, OnProductions and USA Video Interactive
are demonstrating OnProduction's music portal, which has a unique look and
functionality facilitating navigation through the website, entertainment by the
product, and ease of purchasing related products. The browser allows easy access
to content and the network, and features a full-screen multimedia player for
display and cataloguing of the viewers' choices.
