Many thanks to all those that responded to me via PM concerning the pros and cons of Dreamcast, Sony Playstation 2 and Nintendo 64. This Santa Claus simply didn't have the time required to research it all enough in time for the sleigh to be ready for flight. A few gamers and parents responded with various thoughts from personal experiences. Thanks Apollo, Chilly Willy, nosmo_king, Tom and Judith. I took advice from everyone and mixed it all together.

So, there I stood in another "Super Duper Electronic Widgets and Gidgets" store today surveying the games for Nintendo 64, Dreamcast and the Playstation platforms. Man, there's really some nasty and violent stuff out there. Where have I been all these years - I can't wait to play them. <ggg> In came a forklift with a load of Playstation 2 units and they were gently placed at the end of an aisle. It looked like there were about 60 units in the stack. I was amazed at the rapid pace customers started to grab them and rush off to the cashier. At the ends of the other aisles were Dreamcasts and Nintendo 64s - both 'on sale'. That didn't sound right to me, but I saw the dust collecting on them.

I went to enjoy a walk around the mall (hard to do in the typical smoke filled European shopping mall where you can hardly see your hand in front of your face), had some fish on a piece of fresh bread and headed back to the electronics store. The stack of 60 units was down to about 15 - 20 in less than half an hour. Hmmm....I could sense the popularity. Based on a couple of the PM's I received suggesting that if I could get my hands on a Playstation 2, do it. I spoke with two of the sales staff and we went through the merits of each system. They said they wouldn't be getting any more Playstations in before Christmas. I had to act quick before those last 7 (at this point) were gone. Well, I got my hands on one. No research conducted outside of the PM's and speaking with the sales staff (very unlike me). Talk about a lemming.....
