RE:"Only Clinton III can save us now. We are about to go into recession and Bush II will drive us in again" In case you haven't noticed. Clinton is still President and driving along 'til Jan 20. This is all under Clintons watch. A recession my be inevitable...regardless...it's foolhardy to blame them on Presidents or for Presidents to take all the credit in expansions. I still blame that last tax cut on RE cap gains as making AGs job of moderating the economy too difficult. RE:"At least there's likely to be only one sure thing now." What's that? Recession? Seems the markets have discounted 8 of the last 3 recessions... We need to get a better picture, AG needs to change bias to at least neutral. Jim
