Markets do things for myriad reasons. I think the burden of proof lies on those who would attribute market movements to particular political events. If you get to move the time line around arbitrarily to fit your politics and definition of "anticipation", I imagine you can "prove" most anything. Heck, who knows, you might even be able to "legitimize" the candidate of your choice, though that, presumably, is better left to the courts.
