Yes, but it's the source you are talking about that is public. If applied intelligence (I like your terminology! <g>) interprets public sources, then it would seem to me that at some point, applied intelligence would become private information, which would be, by definition, nonpublic information which SI apparently prohibits. I'll have to admit - this is "way over my head". :-)

Anyway, glad to hear you are back online with your new computer. Good idea to get an external backup system. I'm still working on mine. I bought a Zip drive several months ago, and still can't get it to back up my system. Long (no, very long) story as to why it won't work.
