I think the Gore Chernomyrdin deal deserves more scrutiny, too. It's my impression that nobody has proposed that it was illegal yet, but it seems like at least a mistaken move undertaken in an attempt to shore up segments of the Russian governing elite who seemed most favorably disposed toward the US. But I'm for a full investigation. Do you think there should be an investigation of the apparent conflict of interest in the situation of the outcome of the election being determined by a Supreme Court that included (unrecused) Scalia, with his two Bush-connected sons; Thomas, whose wife is paid by a foundation working for the Republicans specifically on the matter of SC appointments; and Rehnquist and O'Connor, who declared their desire to retire under a Republican administration? No probleme, I'm guessing. Am I right?
