Are you CERTAIN each proxy is equal?

I have been to a number of Annual Meetings of various companies,
and this is the FIRST time I've heard someone claim this.

Yes there is a show of hands for MOST votes (some are done
by secret ballet on real contentious issues), but from what I remember
the Securities Commission has someone there at the entrance
to the room who takes note of WHO attends, and how many shares
they own. They in particular take note of WHO the BIG shareholders
are. IF the SHOW of hands is at all contentious (due to the various
big shareholders NOT agreeing), then I believe they next
go beyond the simple show of hands, and start correlating
who has what share's, ... etc...

You may be able to make a POINT with a large show of contrary
hands, ... but thats about all. Asigning PROXIES to one person
just increases the number of shares that individual has with
their vote.

Pardon my scepticism, ... but I find your claim of all PROXIES
being equal VERY hard to believe. .....
