I like to think that there are only two to three good trades on an average day, although guys like Nemer make more and others position for days and weeks.

Your impression on executions is fair unless you are trading Large Contracts on the Indicies. I find trading Currencies I get maybe 10 seconds or perhaps 15. Large Nasdaq or SP it takes maybe 40 seconds. Mini contracts about 2, 3 seconds. Crude Oil I might get a fill the same day.....

Okay, 20 minutes or so.

Bond less than a minute, cannot recall exactly....been a few weeks.

Good broker? Eh, no opinion. You might want to try a paper trading deal I was yakking about last week. It's slower than normal Execution by a bit but it could give you a sense of trading online Futures.
