I one time talked to my mother long distance for twenty minutes until I mentioned her best friend, and she said, "WHO"?

Come to find out, she also had a daughter away from home, so much of our conversation was pretty standard. If I hadn't mentioned my mother's friend, we would have hung up perfectly content with the fact that we had talked to the person intended.

What was really confusing is when I started emailing to my friend about our conversation on SI. Now, THAT was a confusing conversation!

I would to have loved to have read that.
