Dw:
IMO if Mr Greeenspan does not cut rates I am looking at the Mother of all market crashes. Not immediate and not
quite like any previous.
I will reserve any more pessimism until next week, to see what Mr G says.
But governments and taxes, local, city, state, and Federal
have sqeezed every last dollar of expendable income from the forgotten productive worker. Something as innocent as
adding a few $100/mo to a Californians electric bill can trigger an avalanche.
Later, if you ask, I can tell you in detail the
sequence of events if the central bankers keep up the squeeze play.
But perhaps you are right, and I hope you are,the government may have other options such as adding liquidity as they did for Y2K.
Regards
Sig
