Your anecdotal evidence is certainly different than mine. I am definitely seeing anger and some fear. The fear is, however, less than one might expect given the terrible performances.

What has confounded many (me included) is that there has been NO rally to speak of in the 4th quarter. Someone pointed out a while back that we haven't seen consecutive down months for the entire 4th quarter in a Very long time. I don't recall when the last occurence was exactly. Barring a big turn around next week, we will probably have that situation this year.
