Mika, Although AWS does include EDGE as part of their progression to 3G, it begs some questions. They previously claimed that they would move from TDMA to EDGE. Why the GSM-GPRS overlay now? AWS using EDGE provides no advantage to their new partner DoCoMo. DoCoMo didn't invest all those $$$$ in AWS so they could build a system that won't roam to Japan. European auctions required at least one service provider to deploy UMTS. Is Europe going to be split between two 3G standards? Man am I confused. Pete
