Wes; If a lot of people were considering a rate cut as you say, the markets would certainly be discounting this possibility right now which it hasn't. Last FOMC meeting under Clinton, so I can see him wanting to go out with a bit of a bang now that Gore has lost. Market growth is decelerating fast, and rate cuts take roughly 9 months to have an effect, so I can see GP throwing in a nice surprise given that it's the holiday season and all. Even if I'm am incorrect, the market will definitely be considering this possibility between now and Tues. afternoon - might be a good time to go long on something...
