I think you hit the nail on the head.
I think being likeable and trustworthy is more important than many people think.
I don't expect any president to be an expert on economics, foreign policy, health care, financial markets, defense, law, politics, etc.... Even the brightest people are lucky to be an expert in more than one area. (you are the exception bg)
So the key is to surround yourself with experts that fit some overall vision. The best candidates for president may actually be the best managers and motivators and not the smartest people.
