Apparently, some department (SoS Harris'?) handed the counties the list of felons so that the counties could purge their lists. Some of the counties (Palm Beach was one of them) refused to do so.

In an article I read, there was something about INS as well. IIRC, INS does not provide the list of legal aliens who are not citizens.

Joe,

Apparently, FL has a history of allowing ineligible voters to vote. Approximately 4 years ago after FL's then latest election fiasco, they(I believe K. Harris's dept) hired a private firm to correct/update the voter list to exclude misplaced felons, illegals and the deceased. However the finished list still had some errors, and some counties opted to go with the older, more incorrect list.....a strange logic that seems to have become the norm lately.

BTW the above is just one of several election irregularities that have come to the surface in FL during the past 10 years. In other words FL was a time bomb waiting to go off...and detonation was 7 November, 2000.
