The political reality is that we will know who won. For the country's sake I sincerely hope it is Bush. That's the part of your statement with which I respectfully dissent.

I am not sure what you mean by political reality but I doubt very much that there will ever be a final vote count taken of the ballots in FL.

And its from that basis, I made my comment....Bush will be president but there will always be the question of whether he truly won the vote in FL. And that will be like a cancer that grows over time and he as well as us will reap whatever results from the uncertainties surrounding his position.

Its what happens when something important is handled incorrectly.
