That's the point. You sue for virtually nothing, they send nobody, they lose, it's over. But then they can't hound or harrass you. And in most small claims courts they can't hire a lawyer, they have to send an employee. (When I sue it's for myself, usually over illegal faxes, sometimes for client bills, so I'm appearing as a plaintiff, not a lawyer.)
