Huh? Is this guy what they call clueless? I believe that the USR x2 modems have some sort of software "governor" on them to limit the speed to 53K, to comply with the FCC regs, correct? Duh. That's like saying "Freeway speeds are for the most part still 55 mph for trucks (and that's the best that 18-wheelers owned by Swift Trucking can do anyway). Pssst. Swift has engine governors on their trucks, which limit top speed to 55 mph.
