Grace, You missed my point. Competitors of SCMR are willing to play the game with the BOCs. For SCMR to believe that theirs is the only solution and that their standards will become industry standards is laughable. The ODSI has already been defeated on a couple of important issues (MPLS for instance). I am not arguing that it is in the best interest of the carriers to support ancient standards. I happen to believe that changing the opinion of the BOCs on network standards is like moving an iceberg with a tugboat. SCMR could be selling more equipment to carriers with real needs and real money now if they spent a small amount of money to become certified to do so. tp
