I've have had the same kind of thing happen to me recently. All they are doing is shaking the tree to see if any more apples might fall out. If a credit card is involved, the first thing I do is contact the card company, lodge a protest, and tell them not to pay that company a dime on my account. If no credit card, just tell Earthlink how the cow ate the cabbage, and where to put their complaint. Those kind usually back off because they know they don't have a leg to stand on.
