At the beginning of the 'cycle'(early 99) one of the main points this thread kept stressing was that the land drillers react quickest to price changes in the NG and Crude markets. I believe this still holds true with UTI as one example of a strong stock reacting to strong NG prices (PTEN is another).

If the thread is looking for stocks to short, I would wait for NG prices to start a serious decline and then short the US/Canadian land based drillers. I think it's way too early to be shorting stocks based on what some think is the peak in NG prices. There is no basis for calling the top in NG futures at this time. It would only be a WAG at this stage, IMO.
