Bambs... I think you may have missed this post. Take another look.

As you can read I do think there is more softness ahead. My point with you has been that you continue to try to demonstrate knowledge of the markets in which CSCO plays in and what will impact CSCO - in fact this is how your posts started on the thread when you suggested ARPT would take on CSCO. It's clear now that you understand that you in fact don't have this grasp...

... we don't understand csco, it's products or services. I know that I don't understand every detail of their business.

Given this I think you should stick to macro issues and perhaps spread your comments onto threads that are more macro focused where they will have better play. Here you are attempting to draw analogy's to CSCO when you admittedly haven't the grasp of the market.

Did you know that CSCO sells to markets outside of the US? Do you know the overall impact of the bond market to CSCO's customers??? How much of CSCO enterprise customer base is financing its purchases with bonds? How many will reduce costs by outsourcing??? Technology is a tool to generate demand but more importantly a tool for cutting costs and companies may look for ways to deploy solutions which reduce expenses which improve the bottom line. CSCO's exposure to telco is far far less than company's like LU, NT, ALA yet yo post here.. which tells me that you really don't understand CSCO at all.

wrt to earnings... this has been hashed so many times it's begining to sound like that droning I used to hear in elementary school "I know you are but what am I". We've addressed this... think about top line growing at 60%, steady margins, yet flat earnings. Ever think about where the money is going?????
