Alan, I am not familiar with the term so I don't know whether they are referring to slots to build tools to build chip equipment or slots to build chip equipment for customers. Note that back in March/April AMAT was 115 and now it is 39. Maybe John Stewart or someone else on the thread could shed some light on the term "tool build slot". I can tell you that the firm Herb Greenberg is quoting has been very accurate regarding the state of the chip equipment market. Best regards, Phil
