I agree Dana, and I do some position-swapping for tax losses. In my case, many of my pennies are in an IRA, though. That was a tremendous advantage last winter, when all arrows pointed up, but of course it's a disadvantage now that things are pointed down.

In the broader scheme, I do believe that tax-selling in the fall presents some extraordinary opportunities, but you have to be ready to reap the rewards when times are good in order to take advantage. One of these years I'll get the timing down pat (gg)
