Mike Douglas--Well, maybe you'd better fire up that java machine, big guy, because: "Mr. Falwell was referring to Governor Tom Ridge of Pennsylvania and Gov. Christie Whitman of New Jersey, two moderate Republicans who support abortion rights." In fact, the whole article was about the right wing's opposition to Bush compromising on his top appointments.

Hey, it doesn't bother ME if he doesn't compromise. If "Mr. Conciliator" wants a fight with the Dems, have at it big guy--works for me. The country is already bitterly divided by this election--with many of us believing that the guy who lost was the guy who really won--and if he doesn't want to acknowledge that fact, then he won't be successful.

But my guess is that he tells the wing-nuts to take a hike, makes numerous deals with Tom Daschle that piss off the Jerry Falwell's of the world, and governs (successfully) from the center. You heard it here first.
