many of us believing that the guy who lost was the guy who really won Well, there is much to talk about in your post, which I appreciate as a change of pace. Belief, while often a very positive and motivating force, is quite maleable. That particular hard belief will allow for much mischief in the coming months and years. And you did not hear that here first, to be sure. Neither guy won this election. Quoting Fallwell? C'mon. Please don't quote Falwell to me. (Abortion is now primarily needed by the left at an issue, just like racism and scaring blue hairs about SS, etc. It's not in play). That aside, Bush has shown no proclivity for any fight, if you hadn't noticed. But will he be able to avoid one anyway? No. Look at Alan Dershowitz on Geraldo. He looks like he bit a rotten lemon, he is so bitter. That's the face of the left and it isn't pretty. Denigrating "Mr. Conciliator" is just beginning.
I noticed you link "Citizens for Tax Justice" which gave me some cause for hope as a person who feels unfairly taxed. But alas, you seem to be for more taxes. Well, I will have to engage more later as we are going to the TX state football finals.
Thank you for your kind thoughts about Dubya's possible succes. I am a little less hopeful and am holding my breath, for a number of reasons. The economy is tanking or slowing rapidly. He will be blamed politically and popularly by J6P. I also expect much in the way of divisive politics (race, wealth) which will require extremely deft responses. I am relieved it is Bush in that chair rather than more of the same, personally. |
