How the heck did you lose $5K on 4 trades in mini contracts?

Let's see, the machine would keep your margin at 6, say, ES contracts with a $50K bank most likely. So on each trade if you had 5 contracts for sake of argument you lost $1250 on average so each contract lost you $250. 5 points.

My guess is that you were beating a dead horse. What were you trying to do, go Long?

One thing, you probably should not try to trade both markets simultaneously. If you win you may just be lucky and that's not good practice I would think. Besides, losing $5,000 real quick is pretty bad when you consider it's 10% of your capital.
