MB, using the U. S. Government Department of Energy figures, it appears that a year from now there will be no natural gas in storage as the United States moves into the coldest part of the winter (my post is a reply to the posting of those figures):

I do not see any way that enough pipelines can be built to new fields (Canada, Alaska, Gulf of Mexico) in time to make much of a difference. Natural gas prices, which seem very high now, might double again before new supplies can come in to bring the price back down.
