Well .. since your asking :-) Allow me to put in my 2-bits worth! The company is buying back the "maximum" allowable amount of it's own shares. ~~~~~ 5% FIVE PER CENT 5% ..... 1/20th ~~~~~ This is the 3.1 million out of the 62mil they have out! They must do all of this buying within 12 months! IF they take the whole 12 months that is ... ~~~~~ 250,000 shares every month ~~~~~ Those shares are "loose" shares and a part of the "float" Stock price is determined by the "market price" of the float and not shares that are tightly held. The price is determined by demand and supply of the loose shares. The company intends to reduce the "supply" by the maximum amount allowed under exchange rules. The company may decide to only take 3 months to buy these shares.. ~~~~~ 1,000,000 shares every month for 3 months ~~~~~ What do you think that will do to a stock that trades this thin? What does this mean??? It means as the release stated that they are using "excess cash" from successful operations to... "increase share holder value" by reducing the float as much as they can! I have never seen a stock that announced a BUY BACK go down !!! I bought more Friday buying may start on Tuesday A buy back says several things... 1. We have more money that we need for operation. 2. We will not be doing private placements and dilute. 3. We are a financial success because we have money 4. We are REALLY concerned about share holder value 5. We intend to drive the stock price up ourselves! Hope that does it for anyone who doubts what this latest release means :-) Check out YBZ.V
