<< Philips makes great card chips. >> Generally not considered to be in the same league as Infineon and STM but right now they are firstest with the mostest and Atmel's approaches are also interesting. Gemplus prospectus states Infineon and STM as primary sources of IC card chips. Qualifying others. The Visa VOP chips being supplied to Fleet & First USA may be Philips. not sure. - Eric -
