Frank- Well I can tell you I had a cable modem before I switched to digital TV services. So analog or digital subs can get data services(extra $40/month).

With the extra...I'll look it up to be exact. It's $14/month. I used to pay $26/month for analog cable TV with 70 channels(no premium channels). Now I pay $40/month for TV type services.

The $14/month extra gets me 92 TV channels(the 70 analog plus 22 digital). Plus 6 HBO, 4 Cinemax, and 8 Showtime. And the 41 music channels. Of course, now I can get VOD which you cannot get as an analog subscriber.

Plus with the digital package(not available as analog sub), and this gets confusing, I can also get 'InDemand' movies. TWX devotes about 20 or so channels just to starting popular movies at 30 minute intervals. For two reasons, I have never bothered to watch a single InDemand movie.

First is it's a pain to see what is showing. Half the titles are missing letters and it's a heck of a lot of scrolling over the same title to see which half hour slot it starts at. Second, coordinating the 30 minute window is a pain. VOD eliminates both problems. -MikeM(From Florida)

PS Late edit. With VOD Time Warner can eliminate the 20 plus InDemand channels and use that bandwidth to sign up more VOD subs.
