I think it is impossible to know what the true nature of reality is. We all guess. But seeing as how so many of us guess at different things, and how nasty it is to force people out of their beliefs- to tell people horrible things are going to happen to them, if they do not believe the way you do, is not "polite". It may truly be Chris's function to be the turd in the punchbowl of life for other people- I cannot say. I do not believe in purpose outside of the purpose we make for ourselves. So if he makes it his purpose to be judgmental, and lecture others harshly (using his book as an excuse, of course, that abrogates him of ALL responsibility, doesn't it?) about how they should live- that, for ME, is his purpose. And for Charliss the purpose is to tell Chris that his purpose of deciding how people should act is not his function-because that is her purpose. And your purpose seems to be to walk some tightrope- between the people who try to advocate your religion in the most adversarial way (and whom you agree with heartily), and people who do not believe it in the least.

I am merely describing what I see.

My purpose is to do whatever I feel like doing.
