it is only important to do damage to Intel

It is unfortunate that Intel must be damaged, but it is vital that AMD continues to gain market share and when the overall market growth flattens for a while then Intel has to lose out.

One wonders why Intel did not try and maintain their ASP at the expense of conceding a relatively small market share gain to AMD this quarter. Surely that would have given better results than they are now predicting? Perhaps the answer is that Intel believes it is now important to damage AMD?
