<<What is the tax rate for schools (if property taxes are used)? >> To elaborate on what we were talking about yesterday, an article in today's paper mentioned we have the 11th highest rate in the nation on property taxes for schools. A friend's son is in high school wanting to become an engineer. They showed the class how to do square roots with a calculator. The boy mentioned it to his dad and his dad showed him how to do them with a pencil and paper. The father was called into the school and given the start of an ass chewing for that. He walked out.
